Day 42: Today is my grandma&#8217;s 9th day after she passed away. It&#8217;s a Filipino tradition to pray 9 consecutive days for the soul of someone who died and on the side, relatives of that person will prepare something to eat to serve as an offering and as well as a little thanks for the people who joined the prayer. We have puto (rice cake) and pansit (stir fried noodles).
